Dailekh, Nepal

Far from the town: Dailekh, Nepal

These photographs were taken in Dailekh bazar, a headquarter of Dailekh district in Mid-western region of Nepal. The exact place can be reached by about half an hour walk from the central Dailekh bazar. I was surprised after seeing these structures which are never been explained in any history books. May be these monuments are not known to many...Who and when these structures were constructed? still not known.... because it lies in the remote place of Nepal. One local resident told us these structures were made by 'Pandav'. If he is true, these were built in pre historic era. These area should have historical importance and these monuments should be considered as national treasure.

One of the most important attractions in Dailekh is deposit of petroleum products and gas. Flame of burning gas in Dailekh, Nepal is evidence of gas deposit in Nepal. It is locally known as  Kalo Jwala. Some petroleum products can be seen floating in the small stream in and around Nabistan temple of Dailekh. This may be economically important gas reserve in future.

I hope, one day some archeologists will explore these area....
